Nora's Blue Cheese Dressing

Whenever I have blue cheese dressing at a restaurant, I can't help but compare it to the dressing my mom made when I was growing up. This was given to her by her aunt and I plan on passing it down as well. The dressing is easy to make and the best part is you can adjust the seasonings to fit your tastes.

Ingredients:

1 quart mayonnaise
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2-1 cup blue cheese, depending on your preference
2 1/2 cups buttermilk
garlic salt, to taste
onion salt, to taste

Directions:

1. Mix softened cream cheese and blue cheese.
2. Add in mayonnaise until creamy.
3. Add rest of ingredients and mix well.

Note: You can use low fat buttermilk and cream cheese. The texture and taste will be slightly different, but the result is still good

  1. You're right, Bri - Aunt Nora's recipe is the best homemade dressing anywhere - and I appreciate the reminder! Great start to our blog :)
